Story from Jam Press (Titanic Decorated Apartment)Pictured: Sarah Boll.Woman who has seen Titanic hundreds of times turns FLAT into ship replica with iceberg – and invites HINGE date overA woman has turned her flat into the TITANIC complete with a grand staircase and an iceberg – and she even invited her Hinge date round for a tour.Superfan Sarah Boll has spent months transforming her two-bed rental into a full-blown tribute to the doomed liner – and she's gone full steam ahead. The 27-year-old says what started as an idea for a small themed party quickly spiralled into an obsession. Now her walls, ceilings and even her bedroom have been revamped to recreate the ship's most famous rooms. From portholes to a "sinking room" and replica artefacts, every room has been styled to make you feel like you're stepping back into 1912."I've been a huge Titanic fanatic, to say the least, since I was 11," the model and a real estate agent told What's The Jam."For my high school graduation, my dad gave me a model ship of the Titanic, and my mom shipped it to me when I had space for it."I was going to have a small Titanic party, but once I started decorating, it was difficult to stop – especially after I started posting videos on TikTok.'Also, I just love interior design and anything to do with shades of blue and water."Sarah started decorating her New York City apartment in March 2025.Step inside and you're greeted by her version of the Grand Staircase, built with stick-on tiles, plastic ceiling panels and even a salad bowl turned into the glass dome. There are velvet ribbon walls, gold trim, faux greenery and mirrors dressed up as café windows.Sarah says her friends and family have been stunned by the transformation – but none more so than her Hinge date, who got the full Titanic tour when he came over to visit. She said: "He was totally on board. I told him about my apartment before he came over and asked if he would be okay if I filmed his reaction. He was so chill about it."The reactions from everyone else have been hilarious. Some people like it and others think it's insane."It's been 50/50 – there's been a lot of, 'I can't decide if she's cool or needs to be institutionalised'"Sarah says the real showstopper is her "sinking room", where visitors can first see Titanic sailing on a starry night before it hits the iceberg.Walking into the room, a model ship dangles from the ceiling mid-sink while a dresser painted to look like the liner appears to go down beneath the waves. The floor shimmers with mirrored silver paper like water, fabric drapes create the feel of being underwater and mini replicas show the wreck on the seabed.Sarah has even filled drawers with sand and crockery to echo what divers found. The bathroom continues the theme, covered in mirrored paper and newspaper clippings, with all 1,500 victims' names written out and stuck on the walls.Meanwhile, her bedroom has been styled as a first-class suite, complete with a gold comforter and a porthole by the bed.Sarah admits the whole thing came together impulsively – with no real plan – and she hasn't even kept track of how much it cost. She's since built a following of 18,000 online by sharing TikTok tours of her ship-shaped flat, with viewers torn between calling her a genius or saying she's lost the plot. And while Sarah says she may eventually change her apartment theme, for now she's staying firmly on board the Titanic – enjoying what she calls the best summer of her life. She said: "I'll switch up the theme eventually; I'm planning on an Alice in Wonderland theme."I'm not sure when I'll do that though. I want my parents to see Titanic first."I love my apartment – I've never had a better summer in my life."ENDSEDITOR'S NOTE: Video Usage Licence: (EXCLUSIVE) We have obtained an exclusive licence from the copyright holder.
